Ford Fiesta Road Test

I just saw a very impressive road test of a Ford Fiesta. It answers all the usual questions, like is it green and is it expensive. It also handily points out that 120 hp is really about as much as you want on marble, a corvette will just spin out because it has too much power. The real question is, though, how will it do as a marine landing craft? Who knew the brits were eXtreme?

Seriously, how much did that little clip end up costing the british tax payers? Good lord.

Erin, that was exactly the line I quoted when I sent this to Jose & Alain earlier. When we visited them in Florida, we were indoctrinated into the cult of Top Gear. I’m not addicted, exactly, but I always follow references when they pop up, and I’ve made other people watch it for an hour on end.

OK, maybe I’m a little addicted.

Josh, you’ve gotta see the one where they make a Space Shuttle. Let’s see… here.

OK, maybe this is the best show ever.

As the sage said, “I think I figured something out”. The business section of the local paper last week was talking about one of the car companies doing some extreme social networking to spread the buzz about their new small car. For instance, there are two on loan in Ohio here, so that people can drive them around town and make YouTube videos about how great they are.

Looking up the article, what’s the car? The Ford Fiesta.

    Now it makes sense.

Heh, after watching your episode Mike, I ended up staying up half the night watching episodes. Most of them are much less amazing, but that almost makes the cool ones even cooler.

The ones which are less over-the-top and are straight car reviews aren’t really my thing — I like it when they use their budget & amazing connections. Or when they just do something zany; did you see the Man with a Van episode?
