Metra Serves Booze?
When I saw an article stating that Metra isn’t renewing their contract for their bar vendor on their trains my first thought was, “Metra has a bar vendor?” But don’t worry apparently you will still be able to drink on the train. Who knew? Now I want to start commuting.

Yeah all the lines except for the old IC line have had bar cars for years…

Not all of them-BNSF doesn’t have a bar car, nor did the line to Kenosha and the Rock Island.
We used to take the train out to Harvard when we headed to Lake Geneva for summer vacation: my aunt would meet us at the station. I didn’t know it was bar car, and I thought it was something like the dining car on old passenger trains. I was very disappointed when I started taking the Rock Island train and they didn’t have a car like that.
