New Mexico is odd
Strange things are afoot in New Mexico. There is just something fundamentally wrong with a company that donates to both political parties. But oh well. I guess I’d rather have these guys doing some of the security rather than having Blackwater or some megacorp subsidiary doing all of it.
I dunno; lots of companies donate to both parties. It’s a way of hedging their bets. I guess that, if you see it as a political statement, there’s “something wrong” with the practice, but if you look at it from a business-y point of view, it makes perfect sense.
I don’t know, it seems like if you give money to someone who you believe in, you are giving them money to keep doing what they are doing. OTOH, if you give money to both parties, it seems like you want something in return. Why should you need to “hedge your bets” unless you are expecting something in return? I understand the idea, but it just sounds too much like a bribe to me.
